Vineyard Notes: 2009 had a fairly wet winter with average rain fall. Little rain from May to September, together with cool temperatures throughout the summer, led to moderate vine vigor and average fruit yields. e late heat spikes from mid-August to late September allowed for an extended hang time and the development of concentrated flavors.
Winemaker Notes: Our 2009 Estate Syrah has aromas and flavors of wild berries, blueberries, white pepper, vanilla, and clove. This wine has a very full palate, with a soft body, chewy tannins, and an incredibly long finish.
