The 2010 vintage was unseasonably cool from March to July. Bloom and fruit set took longer than they normally do, but gave us very good yields. We experienced average rainfall, that ended early, and gave the vines the moisture they needed so
little irrigation was necessary. The intense heat of summer came late, but when it arrived, the vines responded accordingly. As a result, the wines from this vintage display concentrated fruit characters and extraordinarily balanced palates.
